Pellegrino Riccardi runs his own private consultancy and training firm from Oslo. He runs courses and gives presentations primarily for Norwegian and multi-national engineering/gas/oil/maritime corporations in locations including Singapore, East and West Africa, the Middle East, the UK, the USA and Brazil. At DNV (Det Norske Veritas), a company comprised of over 90 nationalities working in over 100+ countries worldwide, he was responsible for designing and rolling out a series of global communication and interpersonal skills training programmes. He is one of the top cross-Nordic cultural experts in Scandinavia and also provides Negotiation and Presentation Skills training. For more than 25 years, he has worked as a trainer, providing services at all levels of any organization, from section meetings/team-building events to leadership development at the highest echelons.
Pellegrino’s parents are from the Napoli region in Southern Italy. He was born and raised in Bath, UK and has lived in Norway since 1995, where he is married to a Norwegian. These places/cultures are fairly close geographically. Culturally speaking, however, they are separated by a sea of differences in beliefs and values. His upbringing taught him to navigate through a multi-cultural world. It has also taught him to reconcile and harness the best of both worlds. He believes that he has a natural affinity to tune into the ’cultural wavelength’ of any given group, something he confirmed whilst working with people from all over the globe at DNV. The name “Pellegrino” means “pilgrim” - sometimes that is what he feels like, someone who travels the world sharing ideas and insights into global cultures, and hopefully helping people to communicate and interact more effectively in their daily work.
