John Frost’s area of expertise is leadership development, team performance, executive coaching and mentoring and organisational development. Since becoming a leadership consultant in 1994 he has designed and delivered experiential training for global executives from more than 40 countries at programmes in Europe, North America and Asia including China and Korea, in cross cultural as well as single culture groups. He has developed the ability to build rapport with leaders and managers from different cultural backgrounds and then engage and inspire them. John has extensive experience of working with senior leaders in global organisations to understand their business and its different cultures and then to create with them leadership development solutions that are tailored for their particular situation. Prior to becoming a leadership consultant John worked in the finance, engineering and retail sectors.
John has travelled extensively for work and for pleasure and he enjoys living in and learning about different cultures, their values and how they see the world. He strongly believes that leadership development starts with the ability to lead yourself. Thus, excellent self-awareness, self-management and an interest in, and awareness of, those with whom you are leading and working are key. He has been fortunate to work with executives from many countries and to help them to develop their leadership effectiveness. It is his view that the ability to build trust and rapport across cultures has increasingly become one of the most important issues for global companies. Companies and organisations that aspire to becoming truly global and succeeding in a range of markets need people at all levels who can build effective relationships across cultures. So it was only natural to bring his interest in different cultures together with his experience of leadership development to create cross-cultural training and development programmes for clients.
