Saleem Taleb has more than 30 years’ professional experience in fields ranging from banking to intercultural language training solutions. He runs a language centre in France where he leads his team helping business people to build more powerful relations, to surpass cultural differences in order to achieve better understanding. He sees his mission as helping professionals to become aware of and then take control of cultural differences when negotiating, marketing or managing teams.
Currently based in Strasbourg, Saleem deals with many international clients in a large number of fields including banking, telecoms, aerospace engineering, energy, consulting, insurance, pharmaceuticals, airports, automobile industry and IT.
Saleem was born amidst the cultural melange that characterises Mauritius, the crossroads of European, Asian, African and worldwide cultures and languages. His grandparents emigrated from India to Mauritius in the late 19th century, where they set up a prosperous textile business. He grew up in this culturally and business rich context. In the early 1980’s, Saleem came to France to study international marketing and languages at the University of Strasbourg and he has lived in France ever since. After 12 years’ experience in international banks, the automobile industry and international marketing, he set up a professional language centre where he delivers culturally oriented language courses.
On a personal note, he is currently serving a term as Deputy Mayor of his town, a fact which demonstrates his extreme commitment to his business community.
