Maria Todosiychuk combines Richard Lewis methods together with her own best practices when providing cross-cultural consulting and training. Her work covers fields like cross-cultural competence for successful international business; cultural aspects of international business (import, export, working in cross-cultural teams, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, marketing abroad); differences between business cultures; business etiquette in different cultures; delivering presentations for different cultural audiences; and negotiations with foreign companies. For example, she has developed a cross-cultural role-play game called “Culture Shock” that is highly popular with her trainees. It puts participants into situations including international negotiations between participants with conflicting business values, leading the negotiators to failure and forcing them to analyze the whole issue of cross-cultural communication in business. Although she is based in Ekaterinburg, Russia, Maria also provides distance training using online teaching tools.
In addition to being a Richard Lewis licensed partner, she is also an associate trainer for IBC Business Education (Russia) and a teacher of cross-cultural management at URFU Business School and at the Institute of Public Administration and Entrepreneurship of the Ural Federal University (Ekaterinburg, Russia). She has published in Russian business journals such as National Business, Business Magazine and Expert-Ural. Selected articles:
