Astrid is a Spanish HR professional with over 20 years of international experience working in cross-cultural projects at both organizational and team level. She started her career in Barcelona (Spain), where she held management positions in the international division of a leading Spanish bank and in one of the Big Four audit and consulting firms, where she implemented projects all over Europe.
She is based in Germany since 1999 and has been working as an interculturalist for the past 8 years, helping clients to cooperate effectively in cultural diverse settings, both virtually and face to face.
Her work focuses mainly on communication issues, post M&A integration, intercultural competence development and cross-cultural project management. She has also designed and delivered an intercultural programme especially created for corporate lawyers. As an executive coach, Astrid also provides support to expatriates and their families in their business and personal transitions.
Astrid has worked for multinationals such as Orange, Bacardi, the fashion company Mango, Applus, Boehringer-Ingelheim, GEFCO Logistics or Acciona, among others. Parallel to her training and coaching activity, she is also lecturer of cross cultural management at the Executive Master of the Technical University (UPC) in Barcelona.
Astrid holds a Certification as Trainer and Coach for cross-cultural competences from the Humboldt University in Berlin, a Certificate in Management Sciences and a Law Degree from Barcelona University. She is also a Licensed practitioner of The International Profiler assessment tool.
She is member of the Spanish Chapter of SIETAR (Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research) and co-author of the book Spanien von Innen und Aussen, a compilation of intercultural articles about Spain.
