Value Partners, L'Oreal, Philips and GE Capital are just some of the companies where Zita Kelemen accumulated international leadership acumen. At Indesit Company, for example, she was the Central and Northern European Regional Marketing Director responsible for twelve countries. At GE Capital Services, she ensured a successful call center outsourcing project from Germany to Hungary using Indian on-site consulting. While based in Milan, she delivered international management consultancy services to German, Italian, UK and Hungarian projects. Zita is now at the Corvinus Business School in Budapest, where she has served as Deputy Executive Director for the Executive MBA program and has also taught the program’s intercultural module. Currently, she is Program Director of all English degree and study abroad programs. Zita specializes in American, Central-European, Indian, French and Italian regions, but she regularly delivers training as well in cross-cultural team management, negotiations and communications. She is fluent in Hungarian, English, German and Italian.
It was 1991, immediately following the fall of the Berlin wall, when this native Hungarian travelled to the US on a Rotary Scholarship. The cultural differences between the Eastern Block and the US were striking, yet Zita learned to cope with them and developed deep cultural sensitivity. Her education includes a degree from Corvinus Business School, a CEMS Master’s Degree and Ph.D. in Economics and Management. Her foreign languages include English, German and Italian. She brings to her training a lifetime of experience dealing with myriad business challenges as well as deep understanding of corporate cultures at multinational and FMCG firms. This background enables her to provide a lively mix of theory, valuable insights and personal anecdotes as she empowers executives to identify underlying obstacles within multicultural teams and to design strategies for meeting their goals.
